Ganoderma Lucidum is in North America
Why is that heading compelling–”Ganoderma Lucidum is in North America”? For the simple reason that before 1972, Ganoderma lucidum was a rare herb honoured through millennia by Emperors of China to the elite of Ancient Rome. I added a paragraph in wikipedia on g.lucidum (this is how scientists like to write it in their scientific reports). Here is the link: Gano in wikipedia. Make sure you are comfortable with the source and the company. My first source has been (and still is at this posting)Click Here! . It makes a good retail site.
As with all things in business, and in direct marketing in particular, the urge to make you an “affiliate” to work the business is great. Resist it. In 2838 BCE Shen Nong, considered to be the father of Chinese agriculture and medicine, documented Ganoderma lucidum in The Four Canons as the most valuable herb. Emperors and nobility consumed teas and other concoctions made of this mushroom for vitality and long life. The First Emperor of China, Shi Huangdi, the Emperor known to have built the Great Wall of China, is said to have called this mushroom, the “Herb of Deathlessness” or Lingzhi (a combination of the Chinese words “Ling” and “Chih”).
In Shen Nong Bencaojing, the Chinese Herbal Text, 365 kinds of herbal supplements were listed into three categories: 120 as superior, 120 as average, and 125 as fair:
A “Superior Herb…serves to maintain life, promote radiant health and long life because of its normalizing action, and to cause no side effects, even when used continuously….continuous use of Lingzhi makes your body light and young, lengthen your life and turns you into one like the immortal who never dies.” Ganoderma lucidum was rated the highest of the superior herbs.
People no longer have to travel into remote, high mountains and the deep forests of China, Japan, Korea to find and harvest this mushroom. Because of its rarity, use of Ganoderma as a supplement was a long, time-consuming process and the vital triterpenoids within the mushroom were bitter. But now we have cultivation, harvesting and processing methods in place to meet the needs of both your palate and your pocketbook.
